Respected AKC Breeder of Merit and AKC BRED with H.E.A.R.T.,
I am an experienced breeder, trainer, and dedicated competitor with a strong foundation in the Black Russian Terrier breed. With a passion for canine excellence and breed preservation, I am now focusing my efforts on the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. My goal is to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the development, health, and overall welfare of this beloved breed.
Here at Ocean Gems, we focus on being a Breeder of fully Health Tested Cavaliers. We raise our puppies in a stimulating and enriching environment at our home. We have imported many fabulous pedigrees from overseas to enhance the strength of this Breeding Program.

Over the last decade and a half we became very well known as advocates and a highly show competitive breeder/owners of Black Russian Terriers. Because of a very public life with such a large and powerful rare working breed, many often ask us why we chose to add Cavalier King Charles to our lives.
Over 20 years ago I met my first Cavalier in a parking lot of a diner we frequented in Goldsboro, NC. Instantly, my heart felt a connection to this pup and I was so taken by her that my mind never forgot that beautiful sweet tri color girl.
The Cavaliers are known for their big hearts and love for all people and creatures alike, which is a needed change from the highly protective and aloof mannerisms of our beloved Black Russians. We are moving away from a competitive world and these very social spaniels will help us move into the more relaxed lifestyle going forward. Now my passion is to place these amazing Cavaliers in loving homes so that others experience these dogs that we see as pure love in fur coats and a privilege to share our lives with.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is known for its loving personality, soft eyes, and joyful spirit.
We take great care to breed for health, temperament, and structure according to the AKC breed standard.
Each of our dogs is health tested and raised as part of our family, ensuring well-socialized, confident, and affectionate companions.
We are proud of our Cavaliers’ gentle nature, making them perfect for families, seniors, and therapy programs alike.
